Hi everyone,

My brother and I are reaching out with heavy hearts for help — emotional, financial, or simply a share — for our beloved dog Mia, who recently suffered a devastating injury.

Mia is our 12-year-old Yorkie, full of love, personality, and the kind of loyalty only a dog can give. You would never think she is as old as she is as she is still so full of life and energy every day.

Tragically, she was involved in a collision with a much larger dog, and the impact fractured her spine.

She’s currently unable to walk and has lost control of her bowels, but the good news is that her spinal cord is intact — which gives us hope. Her veterinary team believes she may still have a chance at recovery, but she needs advanced care to get there.

To move forward, Mia will need:

• A CT scan or MRI to assess the full extent of the injury

• Spinal surgery to realign and stabilize her spine

• Ongoing care and rehabilitation

• And potentially, a custom dog wheelchair to give her a better quality of life as she will most likely never fully regain her ability to walk.

We have been quoted as high as $15,000 for CT,MRI and surgery.

The emotional and physical toll of this has been heavy on both of us. Helping Mia stay clean, expressing her bladder, managing her pain — it’s been nonstop, but we’re committed to giving her the best care we can. Still, the costs for imaging, surgery, hospital stays, and mobility support are more than we can handle alone.

Mia is still mentally strong and alert. She’s fighting through this — trying to get up and maneuver and is still as energetic as she can be.

We’re asking for help, not just with donations, but also with reposting and spreading the word. Any amount — truly, any — or even just a share, means the world to us. Every bit of support brings us one step closer to giving Mia the comfort, mobility, and love she deserves in her golden years she has left with us.
