Hi, my name is Daisy. I’m 21 years old, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart about the most important person in our lives our beautiful mum.

In 2018, our world was turned upside down when Mum was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. It was the most frightening time of our lives. Watching someone so strong and loving fight such a cruel illness was heartbreaking. But true to who she is, Mum faced it with courage, determination, and so much strength.

In 2020, after a long and exhausting battle, she was given the incredible news that she was cancer free. It felt like we could finally breathe again. We got our mum back. We got hope back. We started rebuilding our lives.

Unfortunately, in November 2025, Mum began feeling unwell again. At first, we hoped it was nothing serious. But in January 2026, she was admitted to hospital for 10 days and was very poorly. Then in February 2026, we received the devastating news — her cancer is back, and this time it has spread to the bones in her back.

Nothing prepares you to hear that the person who holds your whole family together is now on palliative/end-of-life care.

Our mum is a single parent to four children — aged 21, 18, 16 and 13. She is our safe place, our biggest supporter, and the heart of our family. She has always worked incredibly hard to give us everything we need, putting us before herself every single time. Since December 2025, she has been unable to work due to her illness, and it has been a huge emotional and financial strain on us all.

We are creating this GoFundMe because we want to explore private treatment options abroad, including specialist treatment in Mexico that is not available to us through the NHS. Our hope is that this treatment could help prolong Mum’s life and give us more precious time together — time to make memories, time for her to see her children grow, and time for us to simply be a family.

Alongside this fundraiser, me and my amazing friends will be climbing Mount Snowdon to raise money and awareness for Mum. Every step we take up that mountain will be for her strength, her fight, and her unconditional love.
