Help us help ALL of Alabama's farms and consumers!

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Melissa. I'm a homeschool mom and I'm known as "the milklady" around town because of my work running a farm co-op with one farm. My time with that farm has ended, and now I have begun the work of starting a NEW farm co-op where I work with MULTIPLE farms to do what we set out to do.

Our passion is to bring more customers to local farms...by bringing the farms' products to the customers! We handle the marketing, the order taking, payments, and more for the farms....and we pick up at or near the farms, then bring it all back to deliver to customers at local drop point deliveries!

We want to provide the MUCH NEEDED service to bridge the gap between the farmers, who cannot leave the farms too often to deliver, and the customers, who often cannot take the time to drive to these farms themselves.

The people WANT to buy from local farms in Alabama! And the farmers WANT to get their products to them. And we, at Alabama Farm Co-op, are here in the middle, ready to help! We believe it takes ALL the farms to feed ALL the people. And we provide excellent, face-to-face customer service because our founder, Melissa, believes and has said often, "If you do not have contact with the customer, you don't HAVE a customer...you just had a sale."

Help us expand our efforts with a donation of any size, which will help us buy the delivery vehicles needed, rent or buy small locations to serve as farm drop points (to best serve the farms) or customer pickup locations (to best serve the customers), and to weekly increase in the supplies we need, such as coolers, ice packs, and more, as we work to expand to multiple city markets in Alabama! Help us help all the farms and all the customers!

Thanks for your consideration and donation to help more consumers #shoplocal, #eatlocal, and #supportlocalfarms!

We hope that by having all of OUR business needs met, we can GIVE more to those in need around us. Melissa dreams of setting up a commercial kitchen so that Alabama producers can make more of their products and have them able to be sold on any shelves, but she also envisions opening that kitchen up as a soup kitchen to feed the hungry. It will take MUCH more than this GoFundMe amount has on it, but every little bit will help move us closer and closer to being able to do just that!
