Help Us Fulfill Our Dad's Wish to Support Our Mom, Sharon

Friends, family, and everyone who has ever loved our parents, Sharon and Gene Semmelhack. Let's help pay for our Mom's rent for the next 6 months! Yesterday, November 10th, our sweet, loving Dad passed in our home after heroically battling terminal brain cancer for the past 15 months. The journey has been cruel and devastating for all of us, especially my parents. My Mom has been an absolute warrior, she is selfless, full of love, and was completely devoted to being my Dad's full-time caregiver. And all our dad wanted was to make sure our Mom is taken care of.

Our parents have lived in their home for over 11 years, creating a loving environment where all are welcomed to be themselves. We have all created countless memories in this home, that we hold closely to our hearts. As we help our Mom figure out how she will begin this next chapter of her life, we want to ensure she has the security of the home where she feels most comfortable.

Our Mom was forced to leave her job early in order to provide full-time care for our Dad. As a result, she had to give up the last form of income they had, as our Dad had lost his ability to work after his diagnosis. Glioblastoma is one of the most expensive cancers to treat, and over the last 15 months the medical bills and costs of care have accumulated, leaving our Mom in challenging times of financial hardship.
