Our beautiful mother, Chela, lost her brave battle with cancer—but she never lost her light. She was more than just a mom—she was the heart of our family, our home, and our lives. Her strength was unmatched, her love unconditional, and her joy contagious. Even through her hardest days, she smiled for us, loved on us, and found a reason to laugh.

She was the kind of woman who danced in the kitchen, sang along to her favorite songs, and made everyone feel like family. If you knew her, you were hugged, fed, and reminded that you mattered. She lived with so much heart, and we want to send her off the way she deserved—with a celebration that’s just as radiant and joyful as the life she lived.

Her final wish was simple but full of meaning:

A celebration, not a mourning—because she didn’t want sadness, she wanted joy.
