Help Us Fulfill and Honor My Grandmother’s Final Wish
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
We are reaching out during an incredibly heartbreaking time for our family. On the evening of January 13th, my grandmother, Mary Harman, passed away after spending the day resting in the sunlight, accompanied by her loving daughter.
Mary was a proud U.S. Army veteran who lived a life of service, strength, and love. Her final wish was to be cremated, but unfortunately, the Veterans Affairs does not cover cremation costs. We are hoping to raise $5,500 to honor her service and fulfill this final wish, giving her the peaceful and dignified farewell she deserves.
Our family has endured immense loss recently. Just before the holidays, we lost my uncle—Mary’s son—to complications from Kidney Cancer. Since his passing, my grandmother’s health declined dramatically as her battle with Small Cell Lung Cancer worsened.
Through it all, my mother, who is also a disabled veteran, has been by Mary’s side every day, ensuring her final moments were filled with love, comfort, and care. Despite her own health challenges and the pain of losing her brother, she remained a pillar of strength for my grandmother.
Our family is currently facing significant financial hardship and we are unable to cover the cost of her cremation and related expenses on our own.
We are humbly asking for help. Any contribution, no matter how small, would make an enormous difference and allow us to focus on grieving and celebrating Mary’s life without the added stress of financial strain. If you are unable to donate, even sharing this campaign would mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, compassion, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
The Celebration of Life for Mary will be at the Eagles Lodge from 1:00 PM until 4:00PM.
With love and gratitude,
