We are reaching out here because we have exhausted resources and government agencies aren't stepping in the way we were lead to believe they would during this covid-19 chaos. We also know we are not the only ones struggling right now.
Futures Coffee is a family of so many loved employees and customers. We are a fairly new local coffee roastery and brew bar in Clearfield, Utah. Our passion is people, our product is coffee, and our goal is to join and bring together community. We have a total of 7 employees, including my wife Rachel and myself (Paul), the owners.
We have made the decision to shut down temporarily due to suggestions by nationwide legislation. We are allowed to run our drive-thru and takeout options, and that was the goal, but our sales had sloped downhill since early last week, amidst the height of mass information being released about the virus. Moving forward, we are going to adjust our approach to service by offering more baked goods, bagged coffee, and other item pre-orders. We are also entertaining delivery options. This campaign would allow for us to front inventory costs, catch up on lost sales, cover payroll costs, get back to serving our community, and allow us to stay in our building while we get through this disaster.
The hope, first and foremost, is that everyone who has been struck personally by this virus would recover well, and that everyone else would be proactive in the prevention of illness by following the direction of our health agencies.
During this downtime for several businesses, we want to be able to aid in the sustainability of open doors and continued service. to reiterate and be specific, what we need is funding to cover expenses that have knocked us down in the last couple of weeks - payroll, inventory, lease costs, utilities, etc. We may also launch an ordering system on our website for everyone to be able to place online orders for all products we make available.
Feel free to reach out and ask any questions. We appreciate all the aid and prayers we can get during these crazy times.
