My name is Arden, I met Islam through a mutual friend who has lived in both the US and Gaza. Money will be used to help Islam and her family purchase basic necessities like food and sanitation supplies.
My name is Islam, and I recently graduated as a doctor (MD), my family is asking for your help to survive and flee Gaza, Egypt is demanding 5-10k per person. Here's part of my story in this war in Gaza:
* On 31/10/2023, my three sisters, Nahid, Abir, Iman, and my sister's children lost their lives in a massacre in which more than 500 innocent victims were killed.
I spent days searching for my sisters and my sister's children underneath the rubble.
* On 10/11, our house was shelled without warning after we had left 10 minutes earlier, our survival was a miracle.
* On 19/11 after witnessing death and indiscriminate shells in the streets we left for the southern Gaza Strip with only our bodies, no food, no drink, and no money.
* We arrived in the southern Gaza Strip looking for empty places to reside in a tent, and we have become homeless in the Deir al-Balah camp that lacks the viability of life.
As thousands of displaced persons in the displacement camp in the southern Gaza Strip, we live under bombardment and destruction, and we can not buy food and water because of the lack of salaries, work, and the obscene cost of prices and commodities.
My family needs to buy a semi-saturated breakfast during Ramadan especially.
* Vegetable prices available are 30 times the original price, juice and beverage prices are over 30 times the original price, and meat is almost non-existent.
* My family and the majority of the displaced in my camp suffer from malnutrition and the spread of epidemiological diseases due to lack of clean water, lack of baths, expired food, and the obscene overpricing of cleaning materials, sanitary pads, and vines.
* During my volunteer in the hospital, I witnessed the death of many cases, especially children from (hepatitis A) disease and other epidemics. My sisters and relatives developed illnesses and needed treatment.
* In my family's camp where we stay, with approximately 10,000 people in unprecedented intensity and congestion, we can't get humanitarian aid except for some of the canned food we buy at an unusually extremely high price, which caused us intestinal discomfort and chronic diarrhea throughout the war.
I appeal to you from the displacement camp to support me and my family to provide the basic livelihood and hope for escape. Your help means a lot to me and my family. Please consider sharing.
