Help us fix our septic system after a costly mistake!

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

We're reaching out to you with a humble request for help. We recently decided to expand our patio to give our kids more outdoor space to play and enjoy. With some savings, we hired a contractor directly to save money, thinking it was a smart decision. However, we soon discovered water squirting up from our lawn, indicating a serious problem.

After consulting with plumbers, well companies, and septic experts, we learned the devastating news: our patio was built over a leach field, compromising our entire septic system. Fixing this mistake has become a monumental task. We've had to involve the county, and a new disposal plan needs to be created and installed. The total cost to rectify this issue is a staggering $90,000.

We know this situation is entirely our fault for trying to save a few thousand dollars on the patio, but it's now costing us so much more. We've taken out a home equity line of credit, but it’s not enough to cover all the expenses.
