Our family's only vehicle has broken down and is in need of repairs two weeks before christmas, leaving my wife and I unable to work. We will be forced to put ourselves behind on our other bills and forgo any plans to get our children gifts in order to cover this, not to mention being out of work for a week until we are paid.

The Repair we need is 600 dollars for a new water pump and belt, plus the labor to fix it. The work on the truck is mostly done but until we can pay to get it back, it will sit with the mechanic until christmas eve.
