Burning Man is weeks away and we are so close to completing the Afterlife car for the LED Dino camp this year.
Since our last fundraiser last year we've been able to
- Purchase enough clouds & LED lights to transform the car to a moving heaven
- Have installed key pieces of the car such as the gates of heaven and greek columns
- Gotten the car registered with the California DMV so it is now street legal to make the drive to Reno.
- And many more details small and big to pull the whole thing together.
We are now in the home stretch, and with just weeks away, we are in need of additional funds to complete the car and get it to Burning Man. We are trying to raise $15k in order to
- Pay for gas and insurance for driving to and at the Burning Man festival
- Pay for professional help to install and code the LED micro controllers on the clouds with our lighting animation system
- Pay for some of the cost of our sound system and DJ equipment
- Pay for a U-haul van to help transport some of our extra equipment that won't fit on the car to Burning Man.
- Pay for some used furniture & shade for the DJ Booth, & other creature comforts.
