I’m the writer and producer of Betrayed — a powerful short film inspired by real-life events, centered on a 14-year-old girl who is unknowingly lured into a human trafficking situation by someone she trusts.

Filming begins mid-June in Queens, NY, with a passionate cast and crew committed to telling this story with care, urgency, and authenticity. Our goal is to use this film as both a storytelling piece and an educational tool — something that can be screened in schools and youth programs to raise awareness about the subtle and devastating ways trafficking can begin.

Why This Story Matters

Human trafficking doesn’t always look like a kidnapping. Sometimes, it looks like a friend.

Betrayed highlights how young people — especially girls — can be groomed and exploited by those closest to them. Through this story, we hope to spark difficult but necessary conversations and empower others to recognize the red flags before it’s too late.
