Help Us Finish Gisburn Primary School Reading Shelter!

We’re so close — but we need your help to cross the finish line!

Our wonderful school community has been working together to build a special Reading Shelter for the children at Gisburn Primary School — a cosy, safe outdoor space where they can escape into books, spark their imaginations, and enjoy reading in the fresh air, rain or shine.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of parents, kind donations, free labour and time given by Stoic Homes and Habitat Architecture, and a team of amazing volunteers giving their time and labour for free, the shelter is nearly complete. But we’ve hit a point where we need just a little extra support to get it finished properly.

We’re raising funds to cover the final essential costs, including:

Weatherproofing and finishing touches

Seating and book storage

Final construction materials to ensure the structure is safe, secure, and long-lasting
