Our beloved Ernie has left behind thousands of pages of transcription, gathered across a period spanning more than a decade.

Hundreds of hours of video. Hundreds of hours of audio.

Original writings, workshop outlines, models, musings…

From this, he and Sonia have been shaping together a book that he viewed as the quintessence of his body of work.

Ernie often said that the expression that came through him was instigated by other people. He could not sit down alone and force it; instead, other people’s curiosity brought it out of him, inspiring the outflow of his articulation.

Across years, Ernie and Sonia spent many hours in dialogue together, her curiosity pulling out his expression with the mutual intent of bringing forth this book.

In the forward to the book, Ernie wrote:

“Sonia is the ideal vehicle to take on the finishing of this book as she sees fit, if I am unable to do so due to infirmity or death. I would love her to do so and I am deeply in her debt that she is willing. It is critical that she finish with or without me, and with my unqualified blessing.”

EC wanted this book to be finished and Sonia is committed to finishing it. For years, this has been a labor of love - a collaboration of ever-deepening insights. This has also been a huge undertaking. We would like to support Sonia in being able to focus on this as a priority over the next year, and your support would help make that possible. In addition to Sonia’s time, there are also very real costs required to bring this project to completion, from data management to transcription to editing, publishing, and more.

Once the book is complete, we can all have access to a polished gem of Ernie’s teachings forever. Even those who never got to meet him can benefit from his rare wisdom and special touch.

His presence and impact can never be reduced to mere words, yet it’s astonishing how much still comes through.

There is only a small group of us who knew Ernie, and yet we know how much change and wonder and joy he brought to our lives. This is a way to keep his work alive, and make it available to people who were not so lucky as to get to know him while he was alive.

Above all else, this is a love song to Ernie, a way to give back just a smidgeon of what he gave so freely to all of us.
