Terry has been one who would do or give anything for a friend or family member. He is in need of a new liver due to liver failure and has been placed on the National Transplant List.

The disease has progressed to the point that Terry has been unable to work since September 1., in part due to hepatic encephalopathy, which affects memory, cognitive skills and moods. While insurance covers some, there are still extra expenses this family will incur while Terry is unable to work.

As such, we are humbly asking for any donation to help with living and additional medical expenses.

**Additionally, it could take many years to receive a liver from a deceased donor. We are asking our friends and family to consider becoming live donors.

A living donor needs to be a healthy person between the ages of 18 and 55, with an A+ or O+ blood type, and also must understand the risks and benefits of a living donation.

The liver will regrow over the next few months post-donation in both the donor and Terry. A donor should feel back to normal physical health within 6-8 weeks. All of the donor's medical expenses will be covered by Terry's insurance, and there are several financial assistance programs to help offset missed workdays.
