UPDATE: We hit our original goal to fund one half-page ad! Now we’re aiming to fund two half-page ads or several smaller ads to make more impact. Thank you so much for the support!

San Leandro is at a turning point. As dysfunction and bully-style politics have increasingly dominated City Council, trust has eroded, progress has stalled, and too many honest, community-minded residents are discouraged from stepping forward to serve.
This year we have a chance to change direction. Bryan Azevedo (District 2) has resigned his seat. Victor Aguilar (District 3) will term out in November. The people who fill their seats will help shape the city’s future for years to come.
The League of San Leandro Voters is a grassroots group working to restore integrity, accountability, and transparency in local leadership. We are taking out an ad in the San Leandro Times to encourage serious, ethical candidates to run, and to provide visibility and support to those committed to the public good.
Timing matters. Candidate filing deadlines are approaching, and early outreach is critical to help strong candidates step forward before the field hardens and opportunities narrow.
Our immediate goal is to fund one half-page ad. The more we raise, the broader our reach, and the stronger the pool of candidates.
Let’s build a better San Leandro. Donate now to find the next leaders for City Council.
