My name is John Havlicek. I am a public high school teacher in Wisconsin. I am launching Common Grounds as a way for folks to hear the unbiased news and be informed voters on issues of politics and government here in Wisconsin. I think that we have to have conversations with people that may not vote the way we do, because we have more common ground with each other than the political class wants us to realize. To have those conversations, and to build common understanding, to find Common Grounds, we have to know what is true and what is nonsense, what is relevant and what is just political point-scoring. To do this, I will read news from all across the state and boil it down, 3-4 times per week, so that you know what you need to know to be informed at the ballot box. To do that, I need your help to pay for a news service that costs about $2200 per year. My goal is to officially launch the channel in one month.
