As a parent, my greatest hope is to give my children a safe and loving home. After a difficult separation, I was granted 50-50 custody and moved into a new apartment, determined to start over for my kids. But soon after moving in, I discovered the apartment had a serious mold problem. I did everything I could—alerted the landlord, tried to make it work—but only a temporary fix was made. The smell grew worse, and my children began wheezing and coughing. I rushed them to urgent care, terrified for their health. Not long after, I woke up struggling to breathe, my eyes burning, and my head pounding. I felt helpless, knowing I couldn't keep my kids safe in that environment.

I was finally approved for a new apartment, but my current landlord is refusing to return my security deposit. Without it, I can't afford to move, and I'm at risk of losing my job because I work from home and need a safe place to support my kids. All I want is to give them a safe, stable home where they can breathe easy and feel secure. The funds from this fundraiser will help cover moving costs, a new security deposit, and hiring movers since I can't move all my furniture by myself. This support will help me give my children the safe, healthy home they deserve and allow me to keep my job so I can continue caring for them.
