My name is Desirae, and for the past six months, my boyfriend, my parents, and I have been living in a tent in the river valley area. As the temperatures drop and winter approaches, our situation is becoming more urgent. We have no heat source, and the cold is making it harder to stay safe and healthy. Every day is a struggle to keep warm and find basic necessities, and I worry about how we’ll make it through the coming months without stable shelter.
