Hello All! As you know, for years, I’ve been Erin’s primary second parent. They are my child in every way that matters, and it’s been an honor to show up for them day to day as they’ve grown, providing stability, care, and love. We now have the opportunity to begin the legal process of adoption, a step that would give our family long-term security and ensure Erin is fully protected moving forward. Erin’s other legal parent is supportive and willing to participate, which makes this a rare and hopeful moment for our family.

Like many families, the rising costs of housing and childcare have made it difficult for us to save the funds needed to start the legal process, including attorney and filing fees. We want to make sure everything is done carefully and correctly from the beginning, so the process is as smooth and stable as possible for Erin. The funds would go towards all legal fees.
