Help Us Fight Paralysis & Medical Debt

Hi everyone! Most of you are probably aware that I’ve been dealing with increasing medical issues over the past few years. I’ve been through dozens of specialists and tests, lost count of ER visits and still am struggling to find the correct diagnoses. I am dealing with constant weakness and partial paralysis, culminating in episodes of full paralysis that can last days or weeks. These episodes are triggering Mast Cell Activation dysfunction causing me to be very sick and unable to eat. This sickness is then tanking my mineral levels and causing full paralysis. It’s been a vicious cycle and an uphill battle just getting into specialists and most just pass me off to a different one. In the past few years I’ve been fully homebound and unable to work while at the same time requiring medical equipment and supplies and medications not covered by insurance, thousands of dollars in travel expenses and so much more just to adapt enough to barely function as I fight my way through the system for real answers. I am not a person to ask for financial assistance but we are drowning. I require adaptive everything. Clothing, shoes, different mobility devices for different uses, braces, medications and supplements costing hundreds a month, ride services to appointments, special food. We’ve maxed out our credit cards in the time since my paralysis began just trying to survive and cover these new expenses as I lost my ability to work. I’m about to file for bankruptcy and I don’t know where else to turn. My illness is destroying us financially. If any of you can see it in your hearts and spare it from your pocketbook, every little bit would help to get our heads back above water. I have more adaptive equipment I will continue to need, I have to find ways to adapt my kitchen so I can use it, and just the cost of being driven to appointments alone can be hundreds per week. In the next 9 days I have approximately 7 hours of driving to be taken to appointments. I’ve spent 12 hours in the ER in the past two weeks. I think we’re getting closer to a diagnosis, but even that is just a stepping stone to more treatments and travel and I’m looking at a lifetime of this. I know times are tight and I love and appreciate you all whether you can help or not. If you are able to contribute it will go to help us cover medical and travel expenses. We’ve gone into $25k of debt over this so far. I know I could never cover that but a little help to keep up with new expenses would be an absolute godsend and appreciated more than I could possibly ever express.
