“Fighting for My Dad’s Life — Every Prayer and Donation Counts
My name is Neyluz Peralta, and I’m writing this with my heart in my hands to ask for support for my dad, who is courageously fighting cancer.
Those who know me know how deeply I love my family, how much I admire my parents’ strength and faith, and how painful it has been to watch them face this difficult battle.
More than a year ago, my dad was diagnosed with a disease called metastatic angiosarcoma, stage 4, a very aggressive type of cancer that affects the blood vessels.
Thanks to his treatments and inner strength, the disease was controlled and stabilized for a while, allowing him to return to his normal life and daily responsibilities without worry.
It was a time filled with hope and gratitude — we truly believed the worst was behind us.
Sadly, in recent months, things have changed.
On September 19, doctors discovered that the right side of his heart is severely affected by cancerous cells, which has greatly limited the available treatment options.
After two weeks hospitalized in intensive care, during which doctors worked tirelessly to stabilize his heart rhythm and breathing, he was discharged on Friday, September 26.
Unfortunately, the diagnosis was clear: the disease is progressing very quickly, and there is nothing more that doctors can do at a curative level.
Even so, my dad remains strong and full of faith, holding on to life with incredible determination and love.
Our goal as a family is for him to stay stable, without pain, and with the best possible quality of life — surrounded by love, by his grandchildren, Ignacio and Andrés, who are his greatest motivation to keep fighting, and by everyone who loves him deeply.
On Tuesday, October 1, he had to be readmitted to the hospital due to shortness of breath, and he has been under medical observation since then.
We have accompanied him with faith, hope, and all the love in our hearts, trusting that God continues to give him strength and peace throughout this battle.
In addition to medical expenses, there are many costs for hospitalization, medications, transportation, food, therapies, and the days of work we have had to suspend to be by his side and take care of everything related to his treatment.
It has been a time of great emotional and physical strain, but we remain standing — united by love and faith.
Today, I turn to this community with an open heart.
Every donation, every prayer, and every gesture of love truly matters.
No amount is too small — each act of kindness helps us continue providing my dad with comfort, dignity, and peace during this difficult stage.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who has been present with prayers, messages, and support.
We continue to believe in God, in miracles, in the healing power of love, and in the strength that comes from family unity.
With gratitude and hope,
Neyluz Peralta & Family
