Hello, my name is Heather Ayann, and I’m reaching out with a heart full of love and hope on behalf of my son, Jett. He’s our bright, curious, energetic 6-year-old who lights up every room with his smile. Recently, our world changed when Jett was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), a rare and progressive genetic disorder that weakens the muscles over time.

DMD slowly takes away a child’s ability to walk, play, and even breathe without support. But through it all, Jett continues to smile and show the world just how strong he really is.

There are no words to describe what it feels like to hear that your child has a condition that will challenge every part of his life. As parents, our instinct is to do everything we can to protect and support him… and that’s exactly what we’re trying to do.

We’ve started this GoFundMe to help cover the growing medical expenses involved in Jett’s care. From regular doctor visits and physical therapy to mobility equipment, medical travel, and possible clinical trials, the costs are overwhelming. Insurance only covers so much, and we’ve quickly realized we can’t do this alone.

We know times are hard for many, but if you’re able to help in any way, whether it’s $5 or just sharing this page, it means the world to us. Every little bit helps ease the burden and gives Jett the best chance at living a full and happy life.
