Hello, my name is Greg. The pics are of our boy Fozzy. He's 5 1/2 years old and he's really sick. A week ago today, he woke up with blood and clots coming out of his nose. We immediately started calling around for help. On Monday morning (10/20), we contacted our vet and tried to get him some help...they wouldn't even see him without $275 up front. When we told them we couldn't afford it and we were ACTIVELY seeking help, they called animal control and told them we were neglecting our animals. OUR ANIMALS ARE OUR FAMILY!

Long story short, we were able to get a donation through a rescue here in Midland. It covered getting him in and some basic medication to stabilize him. He has a hyphema in his right eye (blood pooling in the iris) and, he's not producing any blood platelets...the bleeding has slowed but, it hasn't stopped. We can't come close to affording what it will cost to get him the full care he needs. I am 50 years old and currently awaiting fusion surgery on my back...my income is relegated to what I get from Worker's Comp. every 2 weeks. My wife works here butt off but, she's limited at work with a rotator cuff injury. We have a 14 year old son and, 2 other animals...Tazzy & Slick.

Slick is 17 years old so, we have our hands full with his medical issues by themselves. We do not neglect our animals but, we can't afford to get Fozzy the help he needs to survive. We are asking for anyone to help...if you have animals in your family, you know what they mean to us.

All funds will be used to get Fozzy the labs, procedures, and medication he needs.

10/27 Update:

Good morning all. Fozzy had a CBC done this morning to check his platelets...they are still dangerously low. The hyphema in his eye is pretty bad and, he is now bleeding into his chest. Our options are running out. If he doesn't get the full care he needs soon, it has been suggested that we humanely euthanize him. If you're reading this, please help us save our boy. I'm not one to turn to others to solve my problems but, Fozzy is special and I can't lose him.
