Our daughter, Evelyn, is 3 years old and full of light, laughter, and determination. She was recently diagnosed with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder. These diagnoses come with significant challenges in speech, language, motor skills, and learning, but they do not define who she is or what she is capable of. Evelyn deserves every chance to thrive in an environment that understands and supports her unique needs.

Unfortunately, our local school district does not currently have the resources or appropriate placement to give Evelyn the specialized education she requires. After countless meetings, evaluations, and attempts to work within the system, we have come to a difficult realization: the only way to secure the right educational placement for Evelyn is through legal advocacy.

We are now seeking to hire an experienced special education attorney to fight for Evelyn’s right to an out-of-district placement where she can receive the therapies, structure, and individualized support she needs to learn and grow. Legal representation in these cases is expensive, but it is often the only way families can ensure their children receive the education they are legally entitled to.

Evelyn works so hard every day in speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and behavior therapy as she learns to communicate, build strength and coordination, and navigate a world that is not always built for her. As her parents, we are committed to fighting just as hard to give her the best possible future.
