Our mom, Andrea Szucs, is bravely battling stage IV cancer. Just last week, our world was turned upside down when her surgeon told us the cancer has now spread throughout her stomach. She is currently in the hospital suffering from a bowel obstruction and dangerously low blood pressure, while doctors work to stabilize her and determine the next steps for treatment. We are now facing the possibility that she may need specialized, life-saving care outside of our state—or even outside of the country—to give her the best chance possible.

To care for her, my brother Jimmy made the difficult decision to leave his job and become her full-time home health aide and advocate. Every day is focused on helping her get through appointments, hospital stays, medications, and the overwhelming physical and emotional toll this disease has taken on our family. Unfortunately, without Jimmy's income, we are struggling to afford even the basics, let alone the mounting medical costs ahead. Because her condition is rapidly changing and specialized treatment may require urgent travel, we are trying to prepare for both immediate medical costs and the possibility of out-of-state or international care.

We are asking for help with hospital and treatment expenses, travel costs for specialized care, medications and medical supplies, home care and recovery support, and daily living expenses while Jimmy remains her full-time caregiver.
