Let's finish the fight! #walkntalkJared

Hi, I'm Jared's wife, Kabrina. On October 31st, 2021, Jared was out for an afternoon motorcycle ride- one of his favorite things to do. Unfortunately, another driver failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled out in front him which led to a collision with Jared. Thankfully, witnesses at the scene heroically performed CPR until EMS arrived and he was then life-flighted to a Trauma Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Since the accident, and yes -he was wearing his helmet, Jared has been generally non-responsive due to suffering from a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). This TBI warranted the physicians at the hospital to perform an emergency craniectomy, where a large piece of his skull was removed to allow space for the brain swelling. While all the other 'cosmetic' injuries have healed (broken shoulder, broken leg, broken ribs, splenic laceration, multiple wounds and facial fractures), the swelling in his brain has yet to subside. He is breathing on his own (thank God!), but has a tracheostomy and a feeding tube, so he still needs round the clock care.
We have been so blessed by friends, family and even strangers with the outpouring of love and prayers. We believe the Lord will restore Jared, but we've reached an impasse with his medical insurance due to what they look at as the "speed of his progression." This is where we need your help. In the interim, while his medical insurance deems he doesn't need "active" coverage, we need help covering his on-going medical treatment. As we continue to fight for Jared to allow him the time he needs for his brain and body to heal from the trauma, I continue to go up against his insurance for continued coverage of the care he needs. Just his initial 2-week stay at the Trauma ICU, after insurance adjustments, is more than $350,000. Any donation will help and is greatly appreciated.
2 Cor 9: 11(NLT) says "Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God." As we journey through this with Jared, we have seen the Lord moving and felt his presence and love so immensely. Thank you, Lord for what you've done in Jared so far and for all this is to come! Thank you that you continue to heal him and that you will provide. Amen.
