Help Us Fight Childhood Cancer in Honor of Joe!

For myself and my family, 2021 is off to a very positive start.

In August 2020, my father Joe Bobbitt was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. However, after 6-months of acing his chemotherapy, we are happy to report that there are no traces of cancer in his system! Jeb's incredible resilience and infallible positivity paid off, and for that we are deeply grateful.

I know that my family is one of the lucky ones - so it's my turn to give thanks, and most importantly, give back.

To celebrate my dad, I am fundraising for The Dragonfly Foundation. Dragonfly helps young cancer/bone marrow transplant patients and their families find strength, courage and joy in the midst of trying times.

Inspired by the 12 rounds of chemo my father endured, I will be running a 12k race every week for the next 12 weeks (starting from June 1). If you know me, you know that running is not my friend - so any donation big or small would be greatly appreciated. 

But I am not in this alone! A group of my amazing friends - spread across the USA, UK and Australia - are fundraising alongside me. Take a look at their challenges below, all based around the number 12:

8. Sam Held - 1x hike reaching 12,000 ft. elevation for 12 weeks 
9. Iona Cumming - 12,000 steps on the StairMaster every week for 12 weeks
10. Jessie Chumbley - Incremental mile challenge - run 1 mile Week 1, run 2 miles Week 2, all the way up to running 12 miles Week 12
11. James Chumbley - Incremental mile challenge - run 1 mile Week 1, run 2 miles Week 2, all the way up to running 12 miles Week 12
12. Emily Humphreys - 12k cycle every day for 12 weeks
13. Maggie Staarmann - Ride the spin bike every day for 12 weeks (or until baby no. 2 arrives!)
14. Lauren Rubin - Create one new piece of art every week for 12 weeks 
15. Gretchen Lidicker - 12 minutes of meditation every day for 12 weeks 
16. Emily Morgan - Going vegetarian for 12 weeks 
17. Ophan Marley - Surfing every day for 12 weeks 
18. Liz Morgan - Going vegetarian for 12 weeks 
19. Glenda Morgan - 12,000 steps a day for 12 weeks 
20. John Morgan - 120 pushups a day for 12 weeks 
21. Alyssa Wilson - 10,000 steps a day for 12 weeks
22. Jonathan Lee - 1x 12k run a week for 12 weeks 
23. Kia Gray - 1x tennis match every week for 12 weeks 
24. Courtney Stephenson - 1x new hike every week for 12 weeks 
25. Sasha Farrell - 12 minutes of meditation every day for 12 weeks 
26. Carly Gilbert - Swimming 12k a week for 12 weeks 
27. James Parkinson - "Everesting" - Cycling the elevation of Everest (8,849 metres) in one go (approx. 12 hours to complete) 
28. Cormac Dennehy - 12x training sessions per week for 12 weeks - prepping for his first Ironman
29. Janine Hill - 1x bocce ball training session every day for 12 weeks 
30. Jimmy Ware - Surfing every day for 12 weeks and reading every day for 12 weeks 
31. Rachel Ward - Training for the Hackney Half Marathon!
32. Elvis Imarhiagbe - Going pescatarian for 12 weeks 
33. Liz Moody - No added sugar for 12 weeks 
34. Zack Mitchell - No added sugar for 12 weeks
35. Woody Maxey Graham - No processed food/junk food for 12 weeks 
36. Jess Stotter - Run 12k every week for 12 weeks 
37. Kaylee Ironside - Run 12k every week for 12 weeks 
38. Nancy Bobbitt - Yoga every day for 12 weeks
39. Joe Bobbitt - Walking at least 2 miles a day for 12 weeks 



My dad (pictured here with his beloved granddaughter Piper) is a true kid at heart, so raising money to help soften the blow of childhood cancer feels particularly fitting.
