This has been one of the hardest years of my life, and to be completely honest, I have never been more scared, uncertain, and helpless. It's my job to be strong for everyone else, to make them laugh, or to try and help them see their strengths and help them persevere in life on life's terms. We had open enrollment at work, and my gut was telling me to get insurance, but I never go to the doctor and decided not to get it, only to find out today after going to the ER, on Christmas Eve for chest pains and shortness of breath that I have a golf- ball-sized mass on my left lung right in the area where the air enters and exits. So due to having no insurance I had to return Monday to get admitted into the hospital so we could get the biopsy done today. So the biopsy has been completed and it is cancer we have to figure out the next step. I can't have something happen to me andl eave my wife and kids behind with nothing but financial stress because of trying to save me. We have already been warned of the battle we will face with no insurance as well as no money to pay up front. We WANTED TO THANK EVERYONE, AND I MEAN EVERYONE, WHO HIT A LIKE BUTTON OR SENT A PRAYER OUR WAY IT DID NOT GO UNNOTICED. THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN AND SOME HOW I WILL FIGURE THIS OUT.
