HELP US FIGHT FOR JUSTICE AGAINST THE SOUTH AFRICAN GOVERNMENT, National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) & South African Police Service (SAPS)
On March 28, 2021, my husband and I were violently attacked in broad daylight while traveling from our farm in Kiepersol, Mpumalanga, towards White River. The attack, carried out by a mob in an unmarked Blue Light Brigade convoy, was not only terrifying but has since turned our lives into a never-ending legal nightmare.
After being ambushed at Casterbridge Circle, our vehicle was blocked, our window smashed, and firearms pulled on us. Desperate to escape, my husband managed to drive away towards the White River Police Station, believing we would find safety there. Instead, the convoy pursued us aggressively through the streets, trying to force us off the road.
When we arrived at the police station, our attackers followed us inside, where they brutally assaulted us in full view of on-duty officers. Instead of helping us, the police stood by as we were threatened for hours. They demanded our phones, knowing we had captured the attack on video. My husband's phone was forcibly taken from him, destroyed, and stolen—right in front of the police.
Our attackers were highly connected individuals who openly boasted that they had police and judges in their pockets. This made it chillingly clear that they believed they were untouchable. In that moment, we feared for our lives—not just because of the violence we endured, but because we knew that those responsible had the power to make us disappear without consequences. Even now, nearly four years later, our lives remain under constant threat, forcing us to live in fear every day.
To make matters worse, the alleged Blue Light Brigade that attacked us was masquerading as a security company, yet they were not registered with Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA). In response, Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) has since opened a case against the company and its directors for operating illegally. Despite this, justice remains elusive.
The footage I captured on my phone (only partially revealed the extent of the vicious assault) and was widely publicised both nationally and internationally. Yet, despite overwhelming evidence, justice has not been served.
INJUSTICE AND COVER-UPS
South African Police Service (SAPS) members were found NOT guilty and have faced no consequences.
South African Police Service (SAPS) refuses to release transcripts of their internal hearing to our legal team.
No South African Police Service (SAPS) officer involved was suspended.
No progress has been made on the case we opened against our attackers.
No progress has been made in the case opened by Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) against the illegally operating Blue Light Brigade that attacked us.
Meanwhile, the only person facing prosecution in this entire ordeal is my husband. The National Prosecuting Authority (National Prosecuting Authority (NPA)) is relentlessly pursuing charges against him, despite the fact that he was the victim, simply trying to get us to safety.
HOW THIS HAS DESTROYED OUR LIVES
My husband has lost everything—his 20-year career as a farmer, we lost our farm & our family home. We have started over several times over the last 4 years.
We have spent nearly four years and all our resources fighting to clear his name and secure a safe and peaceful future for our family.
Our lives remain under constant threat. We are forced to look over our shoulders every day, knowing that those who attacked us still walk free, protected by a corrupt system.
OUR FAITH IN GOD SUSTAINS US
Through all of this suffering, we remain steadfast in our faith. We give all glory to God, who has carried us through the darkest moments of this battle. Our deep relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ gives us strength, courage, and hope that justice will prevail. We believe that truth and righteousness will triumph over corruption and evil.
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
We are in the final stretch of this fight, but we cannot do it alone. The private legal costs required to defend my husband and push for accountability are overwhelming. We have received unwavering support from AfriForum, but additional legal expenses continue to mount.
We are not just fighting for ourselves—we are fighting for every South African who has ever suffered under South African Police Service (SAPS) corruption, National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) incompetence, and the unchecked terror of the Blue Light Mafia.
We are fighting for those who have been threatened on the roads by rogue Blue Light Brigades.
We are fighting for those whose cases have been ignored by South African Police Service (SAPS), leaving them without justice.
We are fighting against the deep-rooted corruption that allows criminals in uniform to act without consequence.
RECENT DEVELOPMENTS – WHY THIS MATTERS NOW MORE THAN EVER
Current U.S. President Donald Trump recently shed light on the worsening treatment of Afrikaners in South Africa, further amplifying the need for international awareness. Our case is not an isolated incident—it is part of a disturbing pattern where justice is denied, and victims are criminalized.
Additionally, previous fundraising attempts on South African platforms have been removed due to political pressure from the African National Congress (ANC) government. This suppression makes international support even more crucial in our fight for justice.
PLEASE STAND WITH US
Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to justice—not only for our family but for countless others who are too afraid or unable to fight back.
If you cannot contribute financially, please help by sharing our story far and wide. The more people who know the truth, the harder it becomes for the system to silence us.
