Help Us Fight Alzheimers: In Memory of My Mammar Jean
Alzheimer's has taken so much from myself and my family, our memories, our moments, and most painfully, our beloved Mammar. Watching her slowly fade away to a disease we couldn't stop has been one of the hardest things to experience. She was the heart of our family, the one who always had a smile, a warm embrace, and the wisdom that came with years of love. But as Alzheimer's crept in, we saw the woman we love begin to slip away, bit by bit. The disease stole her memories, her identity, and in the end, it took her from us.
This is why I'm asking for your support today. On the 28th September I will be running the Robin Hood Half Marathon in memory of my Mammar Jean to raise funds for Alzheimer's research to help stop this cruel disease from taking more lives, from erasing more memories, and from causing more families to suffer like we have. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to a world where Alzheimer's no longer steals the people we love.
In honour of my Mammar, we hope to make a difference, to contribute to the fight for a cure, and to give others hope, so that no one else has to endure the pain of watching a loved one slowly disappear.
Please consider donating or sharing. Let’s work together to end Alzheimer’s and bring peace to those who are fighting it every day.
