This Thanksgiving, many families right here in our own community are struggling to put food on the table. While most of us are planning our favorite dishes and family gatherings, others are wondering how they’ll feed their children this year.

If you’re able, I’m asking for your help. Just $40 can provide a full Thanksgiving meal for up to 10 people, thanks to a special list from Aldi that includes everything needed for a beautiful holiday dinner. My hope is to gather enough donations to bless 10–20 local families with these meal kits.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward purchasing the food. I have an awesome team of people willing and ready to help be the hands and feet of this idea, to buy, pack, and deliver the meals to families in DeMotte and the surrounding towns!

If you’re a friend of mine here on Facebook and know a family who could use a little extra help this year, please message me privately so we can add them to our list. We are reaching out to the local schools as well for recommendations of those in need.

This is what Thanksgiving is truly about, coming together, sharing what we have, and reminding others that they’re not alone. A little faith and a small act of kindness can go a long way. I hope you can join us in giving back this holiday season.
