My mom and I were recently selected for an incredible opportunity—a four-day trip to New York City. We’ll get to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, experience a Broadway show, tour Times Square, and so much more. This trip is especially meaningful to me because it will be my very first time on an airplane and my first time leaving my hometown. The excitement of exploring a new city and experiencing so many firsts is something I’ve always dreamed about, but never imagined would actually happen.

The only challenge is that we don’t have the funds to support this trip. The costs for travel, lodging, meals, and participating in all the amazing activities with our travel group add up quickly. Without help, we won’t be able to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
