Help us evacuate our family from a war zone

My name is Rana Issa, and I'm urgently reaching out to you for help in saving my cousin and her children from the grips of a genocide. The situation is dire, with their home destroyed, their livelihoods shattered, and their lives constantly threatened. We are desperately trying to raise funds to evacuate them to safety across the border.

Breakdown (updated to reflect real-time fee from the evacuating agency)

$5k per person to cross the border (x 6 ppl) - $30k (we initially thought it was $10k / person)

Paperwork / passports / visas (seems they can evacuate just with their IDs)

Transfer fees + cash for facilitators - estimated $5k

Funds for medication and hospitalization for Ruba, my cousin, & housing and food for the family on arrival - estimated $20-30k

Estimated total $65-75k (650,000 to 750,000 NOK)

**Which means we are closer to our goal than initially thought. We are unable to edit the “goal” on the campaign so if we do reach 1 million NOK any remaining funds will go to support the evacuation of Ruba’s sisters’ families.

My cousin, the mother, suffers from a severe form of diabetes, and without access to medication, her health is deteriorating rapidly. Her husband, a banker, lost his job when their city was ravaged by war, leaving them with no means to support themselves. Their three daughters, bright and promising individuals, had their dreams abruptly shattered by the conflict. The eldest, an architect, graduated one day before the war began. The middle daughter, excelling in IT management, saw her university reduced to rubble. And the youngest daughter, a top student with aspirations for scholarships, now faces an uncertain future as her education is disrupted. Their young son, in tenth grade is a passionate football enthusiast, has had his education and dreams abruptly halted.
