Help Us Survive the Ravages of War

I am Samah Bawatneh, and I have created this GoFundMe profile to help my friend and her family in Gaza. Here is her story “My name is Amal Daoud from Gaza, and I'm a creative, hardworking Architect, and a mother of two beautiful girls, Sofia and Celen. I am married to Adam I also have four dedicated siblings; three brothers Hasan, Anas, Mohammed, and a sister, Amany, who are still studying.

My mom is with us too, my father past away 4 years ago. We loved our life, our warm home, my office, and the safety we felt. During this war, we had to evacuate our homes and leave everything behind to guarantee our lives and my daughters' safety away from bombs and fire.

Together we will try to make up for what we lost. I created this fundraiser in the hopes that it will help my family.

Unfortunately, the Israeli army destroyed our homes and my engineering office, my brothers schools and colleges, my job, and my stunning projects, all of our dreams and hard efforts during the past 8 years went through the wind.

We are living in very difficult circumstances in Gaza after October 7, as we were displaced from our home 12 times!! And we live in a tent unfit for human habitation, and in harsh humanitarian conditions since 7 months.

Cilen is the most sweetest girl you can meet, she was too small when the war started, she now talks! And she loves to play and run out from the tent! :)

Hasan daoud is in the last year in mechanical engineering department, he was dedicated to his studies and had a dream to complete my father's way as a successful engineer, he is very sad he couldn't graduate this year, his days now are full of holding water and wood!

Anas daoud is in the last semester in the architectural engineering diploma, he is the first on the class, Anas had his first jobs before graduation! With me in my office, and he was working remotely, he is smart and fast, Anas lost his dreams, and became an Ash! Like the fire he turns daily to cook!

Mohammad daoud is the family brain! He is dedicated to cars and its parts, a native English speaker, and a business boy! And he's only 17 years old, he is hopeless now, nothing went good for him

Amany is at primary school, she had a quite day, and a soul mate friend, her friend is still in northern gaza, she is struggling daily to be able to know news about her.

My mother is a strong woman, she was taking the mother and father turn, she is our big supporter, but in the war, she doesn't have any thing to give us but hope and faith, with it, I believe you can stand with us.

I am making a sincere appeal to you. My primary concern is the safety and survival of my entire family.

Today, after more than 260 days of war, we are literally struggling to survive and secure life's needs, especially the little girls among the big leek of water and healthy food. remembering every day and every second the wonderful life they took from us, and dreaming of giving it back to our daughters and sons outside G4z4, the only way is through Rafah port, which costs around 6000$ each! Help our

family to secure life needs and survive this hard days until we can reach safety, help us to survive until we are able to start a new life, and have a chance to work again to provide our daughters with the life they deserve, and to give those young boys the chance to learn and end their studies successfully and safely. We are seven adults and two kids. We believe that ensuring our safety and helping us in this way will allow us to regain a sense of stability and look towards a brighter future.

I share these painful stories with you to encourage you to empathize with the immense grief we are experiencing. Through compassion and togetherness, we can begin to heal and foster hope for a better future.
