Create a Legacy: Adam’s Math, Music & Motion Scholarship

On March 14, 2025, our beloved Adam Mychajliw tragically lost his life in a car accident during spring break; Adam was just shy of his 18th birthday. In his short but extraordinary life, he radiated excellence, inclusion, humor, and heart—leaving a profound impact on everyone who knew him.
Adam’s accomplishments reflect both his intellect and his character. He was a member of Saguaro’s Math & Science Academy, where he not only excelled in math but was always eager to help others succeed. Adam completed the rigorous Capstone Project and also earned the Seal of BiLiteracy, demonstrating fluency in both English and Spanish through the Dual Language Immersion (DLI) programs at Pueblo Elementary, Mohave Middle School, and Saguaro High School. He was also a member of the National Honor Society, reflecting his academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to service.
Adam’s love of learning was matched by his passion for music and motion. He played the cello for eight years, performing with his school orchestras, proudly earning his 1st chair position. He was a dedicated member of the Saguaro Cross Country Team and a competitive cyclist—both mountain and road, traveling the state to compete.
Beyond his achievements, it was Adam’s character that truly defined him. His brilliance and athleticism were matched by kindness, humility, and inclusive spirit. He had a contagious smile, a quick sense of humor, and an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel seen and valued.
To honor Adam’s life and legacy, we are creating the Math, Music & Motion Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded each year to a Saguaro High School student who reflects Adam’s remarkable qualities: academic dedication, athletic drive, a zest for life, and a deep sense of compassion for others.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 to endow this scholarship, which means the fund will become permanent. An endowed scholarship is invested, and only the interest it earns is used to fund the award—allowing Adam’s legacy to live on year after year, helping future students pursue their dreams.
The scholarship will be managed by a respected community foundation to ensure transparency, longevity, and stewardship. Every contribution, no matter the amount, brings us closer to preserving Adam’s spirit in a way that will continue to uplift others.
This campaign is organized by Adam’s loving Saguaro community, with the full support and blessing of his family.
Please consider donating and sharing this effort. Help us create a lasting tribute to a young man who gave so much love, joy, and inspiration to the world.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Saguaro Community
