From the UK to Zimbabwe: A Journey of Hope for Children with Cerebral Palsy
Hi, my name is Alex, and I’m a father to an incredible young woman who has inspired this mission.
When our daughter was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at age two, doctors told us she might never walk or attend mainstream school. But we refused to give up. With relentless effort, guided therapy, and deep love, she took her first steps—with a walking frame—and never looked back. Today, she’s preparing to sit her GCSEs, walking independently, and even competed in school athletics.
Now she wants to give back.
Her dream: To support children with Cerebral Palsy in rural Zimbabwe—her mother country.
To help her realise this dream, I will be driving from the UK to Zimbabwe to raise funds and awareness. This journey will span thousands of miles across Europe and Africa—all for a cause close to our hearts.
Why We Need Your Help?
Too many children with Cerebral Palsy in rural Zimbabwe go without the basic support they need to thrive. Through this campaign, we aim to:
- Provide mobility aids (walking frames, wheelchairs, crutches)
- Educate caregivers on therapeutic exercises and daily activities
- Offer hope to children and families who have been left behind
All funds raised will go directly to these efforts through a trust we are establishing.
How You Can Make a Difference
✅ Donate – every pound brings us closer to changing a life
✅ Share this campaign – spread the word to friends, family, and beyond
✅ Follow our journey – I’ll be posting updates as I travel across Africa
This mission is personal. It’s built on our family’s journey, on resilience, and on love. We know the difference the right support can make—because we’ve lived it.
With your help, we can bring that same hope to children and families in Zimbabwe and beyond.
Thank you for your support.
