This fundraiser was started by a group of nursing students from Raritan Valley Community College, in partnership with Angel Tails Rescue.

During a clinical rotation, one of our nursing students met a patient facing a life-ending cancer diagnosis. Amid the fear and uncertainty, one concern weighed heavily on their heart: What will happen to my beloved pet when I’m gone?

The stress and worry about their animal’s future added an extra layer of pain during an already unimaginable time. That moment deeply impacted our student and sparked an important realization — caring for patients means caring about every part of their lives, including the animals they love.

In response, our nursing group reached out to Angel Tails Rescue to help create educational materials that guide patients and families in planning for their pets in end-of-life situations. No one should have to spend their final days worrying about who will care for their best friend.

Now, we are raising funds to give back.

All donations will go directly to Angel Tails Rescue to support:

Medical care for rescued animals

Food, shelter, and daily care needs

Adoption and foster support services

Community education and outreach

Our goal is to ease suffering on both ends of the leash — providing comfort to people in vulnerable moments and ensuring animals receive the care and protection they deserve.
