Hi, I’m Matthew.
I’m living with complicated perianal fistulizing Crohn’s disease, which has led to a severe abscess and ongoing medical treatment. This condition affects every part of daily life, from the pain, fatigue, frequent appointments, and recovering. It has taken away what you would call a normal life.
My partner has been here through doctor visits and medications, allowing me to focus on my health. Right now, our priority is keeping me healing and in a safe living environment.
There are medical treatments out there not yet covered under insurance (stem cell therapy) as they are considered experimental treatments for my condition, making that a costly treatment if the approved treatments aren’t successful.
Unfortunately, the financial strain has become overwhelming. Between medical expenses and limited ability to work, we’re struggling to cover basic necessities, and we’re at a point where we can’t afford to pay rent.
We’re asking for help so we can stay housed, manage medical costs, and focus on recovery without the constant fear of falling further behind. Any support, no matter the amount, truly makes a difference.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting us during this difficult time.
