In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, tens of thousands of families across Jamaica are facing immense hardship after the category five tropical cyclone destroyed the beautiful island. As three close friends with parents and family from the island, we are devastated to see how much damages were sustained island wide and so we have decided to join our efforts in helping out where we can with the use of our network.
Brooks and Brooks’s Group, The BOHO Group and Good Faith have partnered together to fill and send a container packed with critical supplies, medical essentials, clothes, hygiene products, non-perishable foods and temporary shelter for residents in Jamaica who need it most. Your contribution will help us to fulfil our mission.
What we’re doing:
Sourcing and packing a shipping container from Manchester UK loaded with the following:
• Medical supplies (basic first aid kits, bandages, pain relief, essential medications as appropriate and allowed)
• Sanitary products (pads, tampons, soap, wet wipes, toothbrushes, diapers)
• Non-perishable foods (canned goods, dry staples, energy bars and bottled water)
• Tents for temporary shelter
• Pop-up canopies gazebo-style to create sheltered outdoor spaces
• Children and Adult clothing
• Power banks and solar batteries
We are coordinating with third party charity organisations on the ground In Jamaica to ensure safe, efficient distribution to affected communities and verified centres. In addition we will also be travelling to Jamaica with a team of volunteers to render assistance where we can.
Why your help matters:
This shipping container will move life-saving aid quickly to displaced families who have lost homes and livelihoods.
With infrastructure damaged, local resources are stretched thin. Your support helps bridge critical gaps until roads and utilities are restored.
Every donation, no matter the size, accelerates relief and demonstrates global solidarity with Jamaica.
How you can help:
Donate what you can. Every amount brings us closer to delivering life-saving aid.
Share this page with friends, family, and local groups.
If you have useful verified contacts in Jamaica or the UK logistics network, please get in touch to help with sourcing and distribution.
Safety and accountability:
All shipments will be routed through established partners and vetted distribution points in Jamaica.
We will publish a transparent breakdown of funds and a post-mission impact report.
Thank you
Your generosity gives families in Jamaica a lifeline during an incredibly challenging time. Together, we can bring relief, hope, and a path toward recovery.
