Colorado is one of the most beautiful places in the country. From the Rocky Mountains to our forests and open space. Wildfires have become an increasing threat to our communities, wildlife, and landscape.
Wildfires don’t just burn trees. They destroy habitats, displace people and wildlife, and leave lasting scars on the land. They force families to evacuate with little notice, threaten homes and businesses, and fill our skies with smoke for weeks at a time. In Colorado, we’ve seen how quickly conditions can change: high winds, dry air, and heat can turn a small spark into a fast-moving emergency.
That’s why Watch Duty matters. Now supporting cities across the nation.
Watch Duty is a nonprofit organization that provides real-time, verified wildfire alerts and information. Their app delivers up-to-date fire maps, evacuation notices, and emergency updates directly to people’s phones, often faster and more clearly than traditional alerts. The information is monitored and confirmed by experienced volunteers, including firefighters and dispatchers, so communities can make informed decisions when minutes matter.
In an emergency, accurate information saves lives. It gives families time to prepare, evacuate safely, and protect what matters most.
I’m raising funds to support Watch Duty so they can continue expanding and improving their service , helping keep our local and national communities informed and safe during wildfire season.
If you care about protecting our wildlife, our neighbors, and the beautiful landscapes we call home, please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser. Every contribution helps support timely, reliable wildfire information when we need it most.
Thank you!
