My family and I are facing daily fines from our HOA for displaying Christmas lights and a manger scene outside our home. The ongoing penalties are making it extremely difficult for us to keep up with the costs and afford legal help. This situation has put a lot of stress on our household, especially during a time that should be filled with hope and celebration. These decorations also are ment to symbolize our grandparent who we lost back in 2020 and the lights and decorations are ment to be a way of bringing our community to gather and as they HOA is fining us it has been difficult to afford this fight with them. Theses decorations are far more than just Christmas lights theses decoration have come down from our long time family tractions which we have been doing since we were little kids theses decorations re part of our family they are very emotional and hold a lot of sentimental and personal details about our lives and our child hood especially growing up with them and how they represent our Faith in Jesus Christ and how we honor our late grandmothers. And for a HOA to attack and call out family tradition a nuisance is not ok were defending our religion our faith and values
We believe in the importance of practicing our faith and celebrating Christmas with our community. Having our decorations and manger scene outside is a meaningful tradition for us, and we want to defend our right to express our beliefs in our own home.
