Overview
"Now It's Time To Dance" is a coming-of-age story about high school seniors Jack and Liz. They've been best friends since the 5th grade, but significant life changes have caused them to slowly drift apart. Liz, a high-achieving, future-oriented planner, finds out that her mom is in the hospital which threatens to derail Liz’s plans of leaving home for college. Jack, a laid-back but insecure B student, struggles to accept that Liz’s academic success is taking her away from him and is fearful that the distance between them might exacerbate the unspoken frustrations in their friendship. Through the film, Jack shows Liz the joy of living in the moment and the value of confronting change on her own terms, while Liz opens Jack’s eyes to the complexity of the real world and reassures him that their friendship can weather any storm.
