After his girlfriend & assistant leaves him high and
dry, a lovelorn Magician finds his life upturned by his new assistant: a mime.
When tasked with creating something that would culminate my four years of film school- I kept drawing blanks. I’ve answered various high-brow questions throughout my career, such as: what if your Dentist was a 1940s film-villain, and what if two puppets fell in love but were tethered to their less than competent puppeteers? These questions kept me up at night... but how would I replicate questions like this for my CAPSTONE!?! Then, a nugget of an idea came to me (in the shower, as all great ideas do); what if we spent some time with the world’s saddest Magician? And what if we found love again… with a mime? And thus, Ta-Da was born. A nugget that with the help of some amazing people is becoming something more than any of us could’ve ever imagined. Ta-Da is now no longer just a magician movie. Ta-Da is a story about love. Ta-Da is a story about passion. Ta-Da is a story about you, and Ta-Da is a story about me. Money raised from this GoFundMe will go towards crew meals and craft services, set decoration, props, locations, room and board for out of state talent, and other miscellaneous costs.
