Hello, friends
Please share with anyone who might be interested. We have an amazing opportunity to make a difference that is drastically needed. We’re in the process of starting a 501 (c)(3) so we can apply for grants, but we can’t use grants for this.
A piece of land has come up in just the right location in Orange County, within our budget, but we don’t quite have the down payment, and as with all land-for-sale, time is of the essence.
This is exactly the kind of project that was made for us and we’re perfectly positioned to make it happen. We have a business plan, a board, we’re writing grants, and can build a sustainable nonprofit that supports itself while contributing to the fight against the most impactful mass extinction event of our time.

Please join us in this fight. A little or a lot. Everything counts. If for some reason this doesn’t work out, I will make sure all donations are returned.

We’ll have bee rooms and hive air experiences, making this a healing space as well.
Anyone who donates $2,500+ will receive a lifetime visitor’s pass to the sanctuary and gardens, and all we have to offer. We hope those offerings will continue to expand, as we also expand our pollinator habitat.

Wild honeybees are the most resistant to disease and the most capable of surviving both predators and mass hive collapse events. But instead of keeping as many of these wild colonies alive as possible, we are exterminating them! It’s ridiculous, but most of the time home/business owners either don’t know about bee relocation, or there just isn’t anywhere for the rescued colony to go.

We’re trying to change that. Help us. There’s a lot going on in the world right now that we can’t change, let’s put some energy into something we can.
Let’s save the bees, one colony at a time.

The breakdown:

Help Us Give Rescued Bees a Place to Call Home
Every week in Orange County, bee colonies are discovered in walls, attics, schools, and construction sites.
And almost every time, the outcome is the same: extermination.
Most people don’t know there’s another option.
We do.
Honey I’m Home (501(c)(3) pending) will be Orange County’s first dedicated bee rescue and sanctuary — a place where bees that would have been destroyed are humanely relocated, protected, and turned into living classrooms for our community.
But to make this possible, we need land.
Not a big farm. Not acres of countryside.
Just a small, safe piece of space where rescued hives can finally land and stay.
A place where:
Bees are rehomed instead of killed
Students can see pollination happen in real time;
Families can learn how pollinators support our food system;
Pollinator habitat can thrive in the middle of an urban county.
Right now, we can rescue bees.
What we don’t have yet is a permanent home for them.
That’s what this campaign is for.

We all know what land costs around here, but that only makes this sanctuary more necessary. A rare opportunity has come our way to buy the land that will make the Honey I’m Home dream a reality. We can afford the payments on the land, but we can’t come up with the down payment before this land is snapped up by a developer. Please help.

Why This Matters
Bees are responsible for one out of every three bites of food we eat.
Yet habitat loss and urban development are pushing them out faster than they can survive.
When a hive appears in a building, property owners rarely know that relocation is possible. Without a sanctuary, there’s nowhere for those rescued colonies to go.
This land becomes the missing link between rescue and long-term survival.

What Your Donation Funds
Your support will go toward the down payment on land that will become:
A bee sanctuary for rescued colonies
A pollinator habitat and garden
An outdoor classroom for students and families
A volunteer and community learning space
The home base for our BeeRescue program
This is not just land.
This is the foundation for a permanent pollinator refuge in Orange County.

The Impact
With this sanctuary, we will be able to:
Rescue and rehome 75+ bee colonies per year
Educate 500+ students and residents annually
Create pollinator habitat in partnership with schools and community spaces
Provide humane bee removal services instead of extermination
Every hive has a story.
This land lets those stories continue.

❤️ Why “Honey I’m Home”
Because that’s exactly what happens when a rescued hive is placed in the sanctuary.
After being cut out of a wall or removed from a structure, they finally have a safe place to land.
Honey. I’m home.
