Resound Parody produces thoughtful rewrites of classic Disney songs, turning popular tunes into powerful worship.

This isn't about entertainment. This is about using God-given creativity to proclaim the good news. Disney songs have captivated hearts for generations - let's use them as a megaphone to make the story of Christ resound across the internet!

What makes Resound unique?

- The lyrics are written like poetry. I don't just add Christian words and phrases. I analyze the message and metaphors of the original song, as well as the emotional progression and tone. Then I write a new song with similar emotions but from the context of a thoroughly biblical narrative. I try to keep a similar sound pattern (alliteration, rhyme, etc), so that it's easy to sing and feels "right" to those who know the original. And I edit over and over and over again until each line and the song as a whole sounds just right.

- The videos are designed like art. I create the thumbnails, backgrounds, and the silhouettes by hand using a digital drawing app. Referencing the imagery and colors of the song's animation by Disney, I strive to create visuals that evoke the original while still reflecting the biblical context of the song. I make dozens of drafts before settling on the final images.

- The vocals are sung by real musicians with real talent. I search for vocalists with a voice quality that matches the tone of the song, and with the talent to pull it off excellently. They work hard to sing the new lyrics to the tune of the original song, match the timing of the instrumental track, edit their recorded audio, make revisions as requested, and then mix the vocals together with the music for the final product. I have huge respect for this important work that I couldn't do myself.

I don't make money from my parody songs, and I hire the vocalists out of my personal funds. With more funding, I could release songs more often, as well as work with some amazing musicians who I currently can't afford to include.
