Help us create COVID-19 safe outdoor theater!

Standing together…apart.
Now, more than ever, we need to feel connected, comforted and entertained. However, we need to stay safe and be apart.
Theater has always brought people of all backgrounds together to share in something bigger than ourselves, yet there is virtually no theater during these unprecedented times.
The entire theatrical industry in New York City shut down due to COVID-19 in mid-March. Over 100,000 thousand New York theatre artists are unemployed, including us. Our community is struggling.
At the same time, people are desperately missing live entertainment.
OUR MISSION
We're looking to produce a socially-distanced, safe, outdoor theatre production this winter that will create not only public JOY from our work, but JOBS as well. This production will take place in a place we love, on the East End of Long Island, at an outdoor venue, where there is room to support audience sizes of 20-50 people. With performances outdoors to an audience socially distanced, we hope to build a bridge back to where artists can once again entertain, and audiences can enjoy their work.
Creating safe theatre in the time of a pandemic is next to impossible due to the finances required to be able to properly adhere to safety guidelines. Audience sizes need to be greatly reduced due to social distancing, large space is necessary, personal protective equipment (PPE) needs to be supplied to actors, crew and creative staff, and housing needs to be provided for those involved to produce a safe, quarantined environment.
We are raising funds for the added expenses needed to ensure we are creating a safe environment for our team of artists as well as our audience members and crew.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
We're looking to raise a total of $5,000 to cover costs associated with the safety and security of our performers, crew, staff and guests, and we're looking to raise that money to commit to producing this piece by December 9th, 2020. Your contribution will be incredibly helpful.
WE KNOW YOU, LIKE US, CAN'T WAIT FOR THE RETURN OF LIVE THEATER.
While the industry in NYC has a way to go before recovery, we're looking forward to presenting an opportunity for a number of artists to return to work, and we look forward to welcoming you there and thanking you for your support.
