Help Us Create a Magical, Dignified Christmas Hamper

Goal: CAD $2,000 • Deadline: December 21, 2025

Each year our family anonymously delivers a Christmas hamper to a local family in crisis. We focus on a large Walmart gift card for groceries and essentials, plus a few meaningful gifts. If you can, please donate funds, gift cards, or items. Every bit helps. ❤️

Why We Do This
kal and I grew up with very little money. I personally know what it’s like to go without, and as such I want to help others. So now every holiday season, our family becomes a little “Secret Santa” team. We quietly identify a local family who’s going through a tough time and build a magical Christmas hamper. No fanfare, just practical help and kindness. We keep the family’s identity fully anonymous and arrange a discreet delivery.

Last year, a Transit Police officer helped us deliver the hamper. It was truly special to hear how grateful the family felt.

This Year’s Family
This year we’re supporting a single mother who has faced unimaginable challenges. She’s raising two beautiful children in a one-bedroom apartment on extremely limited means:
   •   Daughter: 1.5 years old
   •   Son: 11 years old. He is kind, gentle, and a big sports fan (he loves Messi, and is into soccer and lacrosse)

Mom is hardworking, proud, and kind—she doesn’t accept help lightly. We want this to feel dignified and uplifting.

What Goes in the Hamper
We prioritize:
   •   A large Walmart gift card for groceries, diapers, and household essentials
   •   A few thoughtful gifts for each family member

How You Can Help
1) Donate funds
   •   Donate here on GoFundMe (thank you!).
   •   Or, to avoid their platform fees, you can e-transfer directly to [email redacted] with the note “Hamper.”
(If your bank asks for a security question, use Hamper as the password.)

2) Donate gift cards
   •   Walmart is most helpful, but any grocery or general merchandise cards are appreciated.
   •   Have a partially used card sitting in a drawer? We’ll gladly combine it with others.

3) Donate items (new or gently used)
   •   For the baby (1.5 yrs): clothes, diapers, wipes, winter outerwear, cozy sleepers
   •   For the 11-year-old: clothes, socks, underwear, warm layers; anything soccer or lacrosse; Messi gear is a win
   •   For Mom: a little self-care goes a long way, perfume, lotions/creams, cozy socks, or a small treat

To donate items or gift cards, please contact me at [email redacted] or call me at (778) [phone redacted] and we’ll arrange pickup or drop-off.

Your Impact (Every Bit Helps)
   •   $25 = breakfast staples for the week
   •   $50 = diapers & wipes
   •   $100 = a warm winter outfit
   •   $250+ = a major boost to the Walmart gift card for food and essentials

Transparency & Timing
   •   100% of donations go directly to the hamper: gift cards, essentials, and a few gifts.
   •   We’ll share a brief update after delivery (no identifying details).
   •   We aim to reach our CAD $2,000 goal by December 21, 2025 so there’s time to shop and assemble.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us make the holidays brighter for a family that truly needs it. Your generosity turns worry into relief and gives this mom and her kids a Christmas filled with hope.
love to you,

Angy, Kal & Niyan
