Hi, my name is Nicky Austin, and last night my family lost our grandmother Victoria Eldridge. I'm writing this in an attempt to find some help for my immediate family as we are burdened with the costs associated with a loved one's passing. Last year, Grandma was in a medical and living situation that resulted in the decision to have her moved to a nursing home. After an arduous process of searching for a place for her to stay, she eventually was moved to a home in Kentucky where she had lived since last October. On August 13, she was sent to the emergency room with pneumonia and soon after she was moved to the ICU, after which point we were told that this may be the end. Late last night was when she passed.

Grandma was a fixture in our family for decades. She'll be remembered as a charismatic and funny soul who absolutely loved being a grandma to her grandchildren. We currently need help covering expenses so we can travel to Kentucky, take care of her cremation as well as other expenses, and finally bring her home and decide the best way to honor her remains. As it stands, we're not able to focus on mourning our loved one because of the financial strain this loss is putting on our family.
