At Country Hill Animal Shelter, we rescue vulnerable cats both in the UK and in Spain. At the moment we sit with over £3000 in vets bills waiting to be paid by the end of March 2026.

In Spain, many of the cats we help have been abandoned in heartbreaking conditions including being thrown into a carrier bag into the large green dustbins to be crushed and die. But we have taken those carrier bags then brought up these tiny kittens in dog crates in someone’s lounge then they’ve had vet checks and have been sent off to the UK and have been rehomed by us, wow !!

These cats firstly need veterinary care for blood testing, ID chips, worm and flea treatment, neutering then a passport and double vaccinations before travelling to the UK. Many require extra medications such as eye drops or dental treatments such as Stomodine gel etc
